"So This Is Christmas" -- Jack endures a brutal deposition by his wife's divorce attorney as part of their custody battle during which he's forced to address his previous extra-marital affair with Samantha, on WITHOUT A TRACE, Thursday, Dec. 9 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. This episode was directed and written by Hank Steinberg, the series' creator and one of the series' executive producers.
Martin Landau ("Mission Impossible," "Ed Wood") and Timothy Busfield ("thirtysomething," "The West Wing") return in their respective roles as Jack's father and Jack's divorce attorney. Busfield is also one of the series' co-executive producers.
Jack gets more than he bargained for when, during the lengthy deposition at which his wife Maria shows up unannounced, her cutthroat attorney uses Jack's childhood traumas, his past affair with Samantha and his dedication to his job against him. Meanwhile, a noticeably distracted Samantha ponders whether she's responsible for Jack's current personal woes.
