GIBBS AND THE TEAM HEAD TO CUBA TO INVESTIGATE THE DEATH
OF A NAVY TRANSLATOR STATIONED AT GUANTANAMO BAY,
ON A REBROADCAST OF "NCIS," ON A SPECIAL NIGHT AND TIME,
SATURDAY, JAN. 1 AT 9:00 PM
"Minimum Security" -- When a Navy translator dies at the wheel of his car following his return to the U.S. from Guantanamo Bay, Gibbs and the team head to Cuba to investigate his ties to those at the detention center, on a rebroadcast of NCIS, on a special night and time, Saturday, Jan. 1 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Ian Toynton directed the episode from a script by Philip DeGuere Jr. (Originally broadcast 11/25/03)
Duckys autopsy reveals that the translator died from internal injuries caused by swallowing several large emeralds that were smuggled in from Afghanistan. When the team arrives in Guantanamo, they learn that the translator worked closely with a detainee picked up in Afghanistan and begin to follow a trail they suspect leads to a plot to murder another detainee at the camp.
