"Talent Show" -- As Rodney and son Jack are preparing for their duet at Jack's school talent show, Rodney has to reluctantly cancel when he gets a last-minute out of town standup gig that could really launch his comedy career. Jack acts like it doesn't bother him, but Rodney, wracked with guilt, wonders if he made the right decision. Meanwhile, Trina gives Charlie money to enroll at the local community college, but Charlie focuses more on buying new clothes, getting invited to keg parties and being popular than she does on her studies, on "Rodney," TUESDAY, JANUARY 11 (9:30-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
"Rodney" stars Rodney Carrington as Rodney Hamilton, Jennifer Aspen as Trina Hamilton, Amy Pietz as Charlie, Nick Searcy as Barry, Oliver Davis as Jack Hamilton and Matthew Josten as Bo Hamilton.
Guest starring are Mac Davis as Carl, Jon Reep as Gerald Bob and Josh Henderson as Wes.
"Talent Show" was written by Maisha CLosson and Jim Gerkin and directed by Bob Berlinger.
"Rodney" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.
