PETER JENNINGS TO ANCHOR ABC COVERAGE OF THE STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS BEGINNING AT 9:00 P.M., ET ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 2

Live Coverage to Include Democratic Response

ABC will carry President George Bush's State of the Union Address live on Wednesday, February 2. Coverage will begin at 9:00 p.m., ET and will also include the Democratic response. Both will be broadcast in High Definition.

Peter Jennings will anchor ABC's coverage from Washington, DC. He will be joined by George Stephanopoulos, Terry Moran, Linda Douglass, Martha Raddatz reporting from Baghdad, Jake Tapper, Mark Halperin and ABC News commentators Cokie Roberts, George Will and Fareed Zakaria.

Sam Donaldson in Washington, DC and Chris Cuomo in New York will anchor ABC News Now's live coverage of the President's address starting at 7:00 p.m., ET. ABC News Now coverage will conclude after the Democratic response.

ABC News Radio will provide a one-hour special preceding the State of the Union address. ABC News correspondent Gil Gross anchors "President Bush's State of the Union Address," for a closer look at the issues the president is expected to address, including Iraq, terrorism and Social Security. ABC News Radio's live anchored coverage of the State of the Union will start at 9:00 p.m., ET. ABC News correspondents Vic Ratner and Ann Compton will join Gil Gross on the air. ABC News Radio will also carry the Democratic response.
