"The After Party" - After turning down Bridget's request to throw a "harmless" after-prom party in a hotel room, Cate decides to throw a school-sanctioned party at the house - which totally embarrasses her kids. Meanwhile, Kerry tries to make a political statement by inviting a girl to the prom, and Rory is overjoyed when a hot senior asks him to the dance, on "8 Simple Rules," FRIDAY, MARCH 4 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

"8 Simple Rules" stars Katey Sagal as Cate Hennessy, Kaley Cuoco as Bridget Hennessy, Amy Davidson as Kerry Hennessy, Martin Spanjers as Rory Hennessy, with James Garner as Jim and David Spade as C.J.

Guest starring are Vanessa Lengies as Monica, Leighton Meester as Nikki, Liam Sullivan as Duane, Matt Lanter as Brendon and Kimberly Kevon Williams as friend.

"The After Party" was written by Robert Spina & Grant Nieporte and directed by Patricia Doak.

"8 Simple Rules" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.
