(New York, N.Y.) Friday, June 17 It's been almost four years since the events of Sept. 11 and the questions on a lot of people's mind are: How is America doing on the war on terror? How close is the United States to catching Osama bin Laden? Is America winning hearts and minds in the Muslim world? And, is America winning the war on terror at home? Tom Brokaw returns to primetime with "The Long War," a comprehensive report that explores all these questions. "Tom Brokaw Reports" will be broadcast on "Dateline NBC," Friday, June 24th (8 PM, ET).
In the hour-long report, Brokaw travels around the world to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, France and Washington D.C. to interview world leaders, intelligence experts and those personally affected by the events of Sept. 11. He speaks exclusively with the new director of the Central Intelligence Agency, Porter Goss, who says in his first television interview, "You have to get to the terrorists before they get to you. Defense alone will not win. So you have to take the offense. You have to go to the enemy in this."

Soraya Gage is the producer; Bob Brandel is the editor; Bob Windrem, Nicolla Hewitt, Nancy Ing-DuClos, Erik Illenseer and Carol Grisante are the field producers; Amna Nawaz is the associate producer and Aarne Heikkila is the assistant producer.
