QUICK TAKE

FORD'S THEATRE AWARDS ROBERT IGER ITS PRESTIGIOUS LINCOLN MEDAL

First Lady Laura Bush presented this year's Ford's Theatre Lincoln Medal to Mr. Robert A. Iger, president and chief operating officer and CEO-elect of The Walt Disney Company, at the recent taping of "Bank of America Presents: An American Celebration at Ford's Theatre -- A Salute to Our Troops." Mr. Iger received the honor for his unwavering support and dedication to Ford's Theatre -- for the past 15 years, ABC has served as a production partner of Ford's gala, which is viewed annually by millions on the network. The recipient of a second medal was Mr. Carl Lindner, a business and civic leader and majority owner of the Cincinnati Reds. A longtime friend of Ford's Theatre, Mr. Linder is its largest individual contributor.

Since 1981, Ford's Theatre has awarded 26 Lincoln Medals to individuals who have displayed unparalleled interest in and support of the arts and Ford's Theatre. Past recipients include corporate executives, members of Congress and some of our country's most distinguished First Ladies. Ford's Theatre and its Board of Trustees select the recipients.

Ford's Theatre Lincoln Medals were presented during the intermission on June 12 and will not be telecast. "Bank of America Presents: An American Celebration at Ford's Theatre -- A Salute to Our Troops" airs Monday, July 4 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
