Legendary Rock Guitarist Dave Navarro ("Jane's Addiction," "The Red Hot Chili Peppers") and Brooke Burke ("Wild On!") Co-Host
Fifteen hopeful rock and roll performers move into the rock star mansion with the hope of becoming the new lead singer of the band INXS when ROCK STAR: INXS premieres with a special one-hour episode on Monday, July 11 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The 15 vocalists arrive at the mansion only to discover that legendary rock guitarist Dave Navarro will be joining the band to help determine the new lead singer of INXS. Once introductions are made, co-host Brooke Burke informs the performers that they have one hour to prepare for a concert at the Mayan Theater in Los Angeles (the location of the last Los Angeles performance for INXS with former front man Michael Hutchence). The performers also learn that one person will be eliminated as a result of their performance. The concert is followed by an all night celebration at the mansion, which continues the following day. During the impromptu afternoon jam session at the pool, one performer shares information about a recent family tragedy. And, one performer is eliminated from the competition.
ROCK STAR: INXS will air the next performance show Tuesday, July 12 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) followed by the second elimination show on Wednesday, July 13 (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT). Beginning the following week, ROCK STAR: INXS will be seen regularly on Mondays (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT), Tuesdays (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) and Wednesdays (9:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT).
The series is produced by Mark Burnett Productions. Mark Burnett, David Goffin ("American Idol"), Lisa Hennessy ("Eco-Challenge") and INXS managers David Edwards and Michael Murchison are executive producers. Conrad Riggs is co-executive producer.
