"DATELINE NBC" TO AIR "ALL IN THE FAMILY" -- SUNDAY, JULY 24
"DATELINE NBC" DOCUMENTARY FOLLOWS THREE FAMILIES NATIONWIDE AS THEY BATTLE CRISES NEVER EXPECTED SUNDAY, JULY 24
NEW YORK -- July 21, 2005 - John Lennon once said, "Life is what happens when you're making other plans." In an upcoming, two-hour documentary, "Dateline," introduces its audience to three families that had plans, but life happened and they found themselves facing crises they never expected. The broadcast follows the emotional journey of three families over an extended period of time as tragedy threatens to tear them apart: A son's behavior out of control; a wife confronted with whether her husband is guilty or innocent of a brutal crime; and a daughter who may never walk again.
Each family opened their lives and homes to "Dateline," and our cameras stayed with them for months, even years, documenting their struggles the tears, battles, victories, and those intimate and raw moments when they found the strength to go on. Edie Magnus reports in "All in the Family," a remarkable look inside the heart of ordinary American families facing extraordinary times, this Sunday, July 24 (7:00 PM/ET).
David Corvo is the executive producer of "Dateline."
