In "Any Given Sunday," Oscar-winner and eight-time Oscar nominee Al Pacino ("Scent of a Woman," "Insomnia," "The Godfather" series) stars as veteran coach Tony D'Amato who is trying to coach the Miami Sharks, a professional football team, out of a losing streak and into the playoffs. Coach D'Amato had a handshake deal with the team owner, but the owner's death leaves control to his daughter, Cameron Diaz ("The Sweetest Thing," "Charlie's Angeles"), who believes she can get rich by moving the franchise. Meanwhile, injuries to the first and second string quarterbacks bring 'Streamin' Willie Beaman (Jamie Foxx, "Ray," "Ali") into the limelight and subject him to the pressures that befall a quarterback leading a turnaround team.

Former NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor (NY Giants, 1981-93) stars as a player trying to stay in the game long enough to earn his bonus -- although putting his life at risk. And James Woods ("Riding in Cars with Boys") and Matthew Modine ("Le Divorce," "Very Mean Men") portray team doctors with opposing views of life-threatening conditions.

"Any Given Sunday" stars Al Pacino as Tony D'Amato, Cameron Diaz as Christina Pagniacci, Dennis Quaid ("Flight of the Phoenix," "In Good Company") as Jack 'Cap' Rooney #19, James Woods as Dr. Harvey Mandrake, Jamie Foxx as Steamin' Willie Beamen #13, LL Cool J ("Charlie's Angeles") as Julian 'J-Man' Washington #33, Matthew Modine as Dr. Ollie Powers, Jim Brown ("On the Edge") as Montezuma Monroe, Lawrence Taylor ("Shaft") as Luther 'Shark' Lavay #58, Bill Bellamy ("The Brothers") as Jimmy Sanderson #88, Andrew Bryniarsky ("Rollerball") as Patrick 'Madman' Kelly #69, Lela Rochon ("First Daughter," "Waiting to Exhale") as Vanessa Struthers, Lauren Holly ("What Women Want") as Cindy Rooney, Ann-Margret ("Interstate 60," "Tommy") as Margaret Pagniacci and Aaron Eckhart as Nick Cozier. Additional sports stars include Johnny Unitas, Y.A. Tittle, Warren Moon, Dick Butkus and Pat Toomay.

The 1999 release was directed by three-time Oscar-winner Oliver Stone ("Midnight Express," "Platoon" and "Born on the Fourth of July"). The screenplay was written by John Logan ("The Aviator," "The Last Samurai") and Oliver Stone from the screen story by Daniel Pyne ("The Manchurian Candidate," "The Sum of All Fears") and John Logan.
