"PETER JENNINGS: REPORTER," A TWO-HOUR ABC NEWS SPECIAL AIRING WEDNESDAY AUGUST 10, EXPLORES THE CAREER OF THE "WORLD NEWS TONIGHT" ANCHOR

ABC News will broadcast "Peter Jennings: Reporter," a two-hour special reflecting on the remarkable life and career of the "World News Tonight" anchor. The program will feature reports tracing Jennings' journalistic career as he covered many of the pivotal events that have shaped our world - first as a respected domestic and foreign correspondent and later during his decades as a trusted anchor. It will also focus on Jennings' passion for journalism, his unique perspective on America and how his distinctive editorial vision and values shaped the award-winning "World News Tonight" broadcast. "Peter Jennings: Reporter" airs WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 10 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"Peter Jennings: Reporter" will also provide perspective on the personal side of Jennings through interviews with friends and colleagues. Charles Gibson, Ted Koppel, Diane Sawyer, Elizabeth Vargas and Barbara Walters will contribute reports the special.
