"Pilot" While working at Love, Inc., a full-service dating consulting firm, Denise (Busy Philipps) is contacted by a former flame and is excited to rekindle their romance. However, her excitement is short lived after she learns that he is not interested in her, but only in her services as a professional matchmaker, on the series premiere of LOVE, INC., Thursday, Sept. 22 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on UPN. Rob Schiller directed the episode from a script by Adam Secunda.
Meanwhile, the staff of Love, Inc. works to help their boss, Clea (Holly Robinson Peete) find a mate after the demise of her nine-year marriage.
UPN's new comedy LOVE, INC. follows Denise Johnson, an energetic, pragmatic young woman, who takes pride in her success as a full-service dating consultant. Skilled at helping her clients find their seemingly unattainable soulmates, Denise continues to struggle with her inability to find her on true love. Guiding Denise in her successful career is her boss and founder of Love, Inc., Clea. After a failed marriage of nine years, Clea now finds herself thrust into the dating world once again. Making the hip busy offices run smoothly is Francine, who in addition to being an excellent wingwoman, has a great sense of style and encourages her clients to trust it. Rounding out the staff is Viviana, a quick-witted and sharp-tongued receptionist, and Barry, the wacky wingman who operates on a whole other level...and sometimes on a whole other planet.
These modern day matchmakers workaround the clock to bring single strangers together to make beautiful relationships, while they privately continue a personal journey to find their own love, whether it is by simple compatibility or chance.
