"DATELINE" REPORTS ON HIDDEN CAMERA INVESTIGATION INTO ONLINE SEXUAL PREDATORS -- FRIDAY, DEC. 16
NBC NEWS' CHRIS HANSEN REPORTS ON WHAT HAPPENED TO THE
MEN CAUGHT IN "DATELINE'S" RECENT HIDDEN CAMERA
INVESTIGATION INTO ONLINE SEXUAL PREDATORS
(New York, N.Y.) - Dec. 15, 2005 - Last month, "Dateline NBC" investigated an epidemic spreading throughout America - men trolling Internet chat rooms in pursuit of young teens. The hidden camera investigation exposed 19 men in three days, offering a frightening glimpse at how widespread the problem is. The report got a tremendous response from parents, and now there's some new information about some of the men caught by our cameras.
On Friday, Dec. 16 at 8:00 PM/ET, Chris Hansen reports on what has happened to some of the men since being exposed in this alarming broadcast - men who were prominent members of a Washington D.C, suburb who claimed their intentions were innocent: a rabbi, a special education teacher and a doctor. All three men lost their jobs as a result of the report, and just last week, the Fairfax County police brought in for questioning the man who showed up at the kitchen naked; no charges have been filed but they executed a search warrant for evidence in his car and home, and they seized a computer and other property.
David Corvo is the executive producer of "Dateline NBC."
