A PARAMEDIC DISAPPEARS AFTER TREATING A YOUNG THUG WOUNDED IN A SHOOTOUT DURING WHICH HE FATALLY SHOT A RIVAL GANG MEMBER, ON "WITHOUT A TRACE," THURSDAY, JAN. 5

Academy Award Nominee and Tony Award Nominee Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio ("The Color of Money," "Man of La Mancha") Returns

"Blood Out" -- A dedicated paramedic disappears from a hospital moments after successfully treating a young thug who was wounded in a shootout during which he killed a rival gang member, on WITHOUT A TRACE, Thursday, Jan. 5 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Series' producer Scott White directed the episode written by Gwendolyn Parker.

Academy Award nominee and Tony Award nominee Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio ("The Color of Money," "Man of La Mancha") returns as FBI agent Anne Cassidy.

Initially the team fears that Cole, who has been cited for his star performance and valor as a paramedic, is the target of retribution for saving the gang member's life. It soon seems that a gang is involved in Cole's disappearance, but it may, instead, be the fault of Cole's secret gang ties. Though he is an active member in his church's anti-gang program, the team learns that Cole received cash from a gang-banger on the night of his disappearance. Meanwhile, Jack and Anne bond over the recent deaths of his father and her husband.
