JAKE IS TRYING TO RID HIMSELF OF ALL MEMORIES OF HIS FORMER FIANC�E WHEN SHE SUDDENLY TURNS UP ON HIS DOORSTEP, ON THE SEASON PREMIERE OF �JAKE IN PROGRESS,� MONDAY, JANUARY 9 ON ABC

�Jake in Progress,� a fast-paced comedy that follows New York publicist Jake Phillips (John Stamos) and his friends as they juggle life, love and commitment, makes its season premiere on the ABC Television Network MONDAY, JANUARY 9 (9:30-10:00 p.m., ET).

In addition to Stamos, the series stars Rick Hoffman as Patrick, Ian Gomez as Adrian, Wendie Malick as Naomi, Charlotte Ross as Annie and Dondre T. Whitfield as Mark (editors please note: Whitfield�s first appearance will be in the second episode of the season, �The Annie-dote.�)

Life moves at a non-stop pace for Jake, a New-York based publicist-to-the-stars who�s the key player at Magnum PR Agency. He�s on call 24/7 to meet the needs of his A-list clientele.

In the season premiere, �The Lying, The Watch and Jake�s Wardrobe,� Jake, fed up with memories of his former fianc�e, Annie, intruding into his life, finally decides to get rid of all traces of her. He throws out their old photos and trinkets, erases her last phone message and even donates his fancy suits to charity in hopes of starting fresh.

But things don�t go as planned when Annie suddenly turns up on his doorstep to retrieve the family watch she gave him before they broke up and he realizes he may still have feelings for her � but now she�s engaged to someone else. Meanwhile, new mother Naomi (Malick) makes a shocking discovery: Once you have a baby, the hospital eventually sends you home with it. She leans on Jake for support in coping with her newborn son. And Patrick has some news of his own: He�s going to open up a bakery called �Muffin� that sells nothing but cupcakes.

Guest starring in �The Lying, The Watch and Jake�s Wardrobe� are Margaret Welsh as Caitlin, David Hornsby as Kenny, Amy Laughlin as Bethany and Josh Zishholtz as orderly.

�The Lying, The Watch and Jake�s Wardrobe� was written by Austin Winsberg & Bob Kushell. Michael Spiller directed.

�Jake in Progress� is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC�s selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound and Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning.
