"Patient X" -- The team searches for a therapist who was abducted as she prepared to enter her car on her way home from work, on WITHOUT A TRACE, Thursday, Jan. 19 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Timothy Busfield, one of the series' co-executive producers, directed the episode written by David Amann, another co-executive producer.

Allison Smith ("The West Wing," "Kate & Allie") guest stars as the missing therapist.

The team initially wonders if the missing Gina Hill's fianc�, public defender Don, has a disgruntled former client who could be responsible for Gina's disappearance. Don says he's more concerned about a mysterious patient of Gina's who called her at home two weeks ago. Gina's own therapist offers few insights, making Jack wonder if he's involved. However, Jack also begins to suspect the fianc� when evidence suggests that Gina may have been cheating on him. Meanwhile, Martin continues to attempt to manage and hide his escalating problem.
