RECORD-BREAKING EPISODE OF �GREY�S ANATOMY� AFTER SUPER BOWL WILL BE
PRESENTED IN AN ENCORE BROADCAST THIS THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9 ON ABC

The record-breaking episode of �Grey�s Anatomy� that aired after the Super Bowl will be presented in an encore broadcast on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9 (9:30-10:30 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network -- following �Dancing with the Stars.�
On its original airing after the Super Bowl, �Grey�s Anatomy� posted the series� highest-ever numbers, attracting an average audience of 37.9 million viewers and a 16.5 rating, 38 share among Adults 18-49. The ABC sophomore drama delivered the strongest numbers for a post-�Super Bowl� entertainment program in five years � since CBS� premiere of �Survivor II� on January 28, 2001. The �Grey�s� telecast also qualifies as the top-rated entertainment broadcast on TV this season, while producing the strongest numbers for any entertainment series broadcast since the series finale of �Friends� in 2004.
�The show is a tremendous part of ABC�s future,� said Stephen McPherson, president, ABC Entertainment. �Due to the overwhelming response to the episode, we are going to give viewers a second chance to watch it prior to Sunday�s conclusion.�
In the episode, �It�s the End of the World,� Meredith�s fear that she is in for a bad day is realized when a medical case arrives at Seattle Grace Hospital that threatens the lives of everyone in the OR. Christina Ricci and Kyle Chandler guest star. The storyline will conclude on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET) with Part 2 (�As We Know It�).
Editors please note: This program replaces the episode of �Crumbs� entitled �Tennis, Any Crumb?,� which now moves to Feb. 16 (see accompanying releases). ABC News� �Primetime� will be shortened to one-half hour (10:30-11:00 p.m., ET).
�Grey�s Anatomy� stars Ellen Pompeo as Meredith Grey, Patrick Dempsey as Derek Shepherd, Sandra Oh as Cristina Yang, Isaiah Washington as Preston Burke, Katherine Heigl as Isobel �Izzie� Stevens, Justin Chambers as Alex Karev, T.R. Knight as George O�Malley, Chandra Wilson as Miranda Bailey, James Pickens, Jr. as Richard Webber and Kate Walsh as Addison Shepherd.
