TORINO, Italy�Feb.11, 2006�Bode Miller and Daron Rahlves face off in Torino's downhill showdown, Apolo Ohno returns to the Olympic stage and Shaun White, the "Flying Tomato," makes his Olympic debut highlighting NBC's coverage continuing Sunday on NBC, USA Network, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC HD and Universal HD. NBC's Sunday primetime coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET/PT with Bode Miller (Bretton Woods, N.H.,) who recently scored the rare double of simultaneously appearing on the covers of Time and Newsweek, and his teammate Daron Rahlves (Sugar Bowl, Calif.,) who has won three World Cup downhill gold medals this season, racing two miles in two minutes in pursuit of Olympic gold in the downhill�the most thrilling event in alpine skiing. Miller and Rahlves give the U.S. its most potent 1-2 punch ever in this event after winning gold and silver, respectively, at last year's World Championships. The Americans will face Austrian legend Hermann Maier, who withstood a violent crash in the downhill in Nagano to come back and win two gold medals in those Games but then missed the Salt Lake Olympics after a motorcycle crash in 2001 that nearly cost him his leg.

NBC's Todd Brooker on Miller: "He thrives on the pressure of the Olympics and regardless of what you read, I think a gold medal is his focus." As for Rahlves, Brooker notes, "He is a 185-pound guy racing in a field of 230-pound linebacker-types and on a speedway like this (the Torino Olympic course) it is important for him to be perfect."
