THE CHAMPIONS OF FIGURE SKATING RETURN FOR AN ENCORE PERFOMANCE ON TORINO ICE & HEDRICK RACES FOR GOLD IN THE 10,000M ON FRIDAY, DAY 15 OF THE TORINO GAMES

TORINO, Italy -- February 23, 2006 -- The champions of figure skating return for one last performance on Torino ice and Chad Hedrick looks to strike gold in the 10,000m during NBC's Friday primetime coverage beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT. NBC's Torino Olympic coverage continues Friday on NBC, USA Network, MSNBC, CNBC, NBC HD and Universal HD.

In the figure skating champions gala, watch all of your favorite Torino skaters showcase their skills in a spectacular encore performance, featuring the sport's biggest names including pairs gold medalists Tatyana Totmiyanina & Maxim Marinin, ice dancing gold medalists Tatyana Navka & Roman Kostomarov and silver medalists Tanith Belbin & Ben Agosto, men's gold medalist Yevgeny Plushenko and the newly crowned ladies medalists.

Torino gold medalist Chad Hedrick, the former in-line champion from Houston, Texas, looks to add to his medal collection as he races for gold in the 10,000m, a draining, six-mile event.

Texan Todd Hays, the 2002 Salt Lake silver medalist and former football standout at the University of Tulsa, begins his pursuit of a second straight four-man bobsled medal under the Friday Night lights. NBC's bobsled analyst John Morgan notes, "Two-man they say is like a sports car drive and four-man is like a truck and Todd Hayes is a better truck driver."
