EMMY AND GOLDEN GLOBE AWARD WINNER TOM SELLECK STARS IN "JESSE STONE: DEATH IN PARADISE," A NEW TELEVISION MOVIE TO BE BROADCAST SUNDAY, APRIL 30

"Jesse Stone: Death in Paradise" Is The Third Movie In the Jesse Stone Series All Starring Selleck

JESSE STONE: DEATH IN PARADISE, starring Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award winner Tom Selleck ("Magnum P.I."), will be broadcast as the "CBS Sunday Movie," Sunday, April 30 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network Selleck reprises his role as Jesse Stone in the third movie of the Jesse Stone series. The series included "Stone Cold" and the "Jesse Stone: Night Passage." The movies are based on the best-selling books by Robert B. Parker.

In this drama, Jesse Stone (Selleck) has settled into life as the police chief of the small New England town of Paradise, Mass. when the body of a teenage girl is found floating in a local lake. Stone discovers that the once straight-A student had started down a path of self-destruction and was estranged from her parents who never reported her missing.

With little to go on, the investigation takes Stone to the city where he rubs the Boston mob the wrong way. As he tries to focus on finding out what happened to the girl, Stone must also deal with a case of domestic violence that ultimately turns deadly. But as the investigation into the teen's death unfolds and he learns more and more about the girl's unhappy past, Stone finds himself slowly becoming obsessed with her and is steadfastly determined to bring her killer to justice.

Viola Davis ("Century City"), Vito Rezza ("Death to Smoochy") and Kohl Sudduth ("The Banger Sisters") reprise their roles as the staff of inexperienced police officers Stone inherits with his new job and Stephen McHattie ("A History of Violence") reprises his role as Captain Healy. Orla Brady ("Empire") stars as Dr. Lilly Summers, the headmistress of the dead teen's prep school. Gary Basaraba ("Boomtown") joins the cast as Norman Shaw, a local writer who has ties to the dead teen's prep school and William Devane ("Knots Landing") stars as a doctor Stone consults about his drinking problem.

Tom Selleck won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award for his starring role as Thomas Magnum on the CBS series "Magnum, P.I." His other television credits include a recurring role on the series "Friends," for which he earned an Emmy Award nomination, the four-hour mini-series "Scott Turow's Reversible Errors," on the Network, and the television movies "Ike: Countdown to D-Day," "Monte Walsh," "Louis L'Amour's Crossfire Trail," "Running Mates," "Broken Trust," "Ruby Jean and Joe" and "Last Stand at Saber River." His feature film credits include "In and Out," "Three Men and a Baby," "Three Men and a Little Lady," "The Love Letter," "Mr. Baseball," "Folks," "Quigley Down Under," "An Innocent Man," "Her Alibi," "Runaway" and "The High Road to China."

Viola Davis appeared in the series "Century City," "City of Angels," and "Hack" for the Network. Her other television credits include "Law & Order: SVU" and the television movies "Amy and Isabelle," "Grace and Glorie," and "The Pentagon Wars." Her feature film credits include, "Get Rich or Die Tryin'," "Syriana," "Out of Sight," "Solaris" and "Traffic."

Kohl Sudduth appeared in the television series "Grosse Pointe," "Law & Order: SVU" and "Sex and the City." His feature film credits include "The Banger Sisters," "Road Trip," "Bowfinger" and "Rounders."

Stephen McHattie's feature film credits include "A History of Violence" and "Secretary." His numerous television credits include the series "Walker Texas Ranger," "Beauty and the Beast," "Kojak," all on the Network, and "Seinfeld."

Vito Rezza's television credits include the television movies "America's Prince: The John F. Kennedy Jr. Story," "Haven't We Met Before?," "Boss of Bosses" and the series "Due South," for the Network, "1-800-Missing" and "Street Time." His feature film credits include "Death to Smoochy," "One Tough Cop" and "It Takes Two."

Gary Basabara stars in the upcoming film "Charlotte's Web" with Dakota Fanning, Julia Roberts and Oprah Winfrey. His other feature film credits include "Unfaithful" and "Fried Green Tomatoes." His extensive television credits include "Law & Order: SVU," "Boomtown," "NYPD Blue" "Everybody Hates Chris," and "CSI," "Close to Home" and "Judging Amy," all on the Network. He is a graduate of Yale School of Drama.

William Devane was recently seen in the television series, "Crumbs" and "24." His additional television credits include "Stargate SG-1," "The West Wing," "The Monroes," as well as "Early Edition" and "Knots Landing," for the Network. His television movie credits include "Monte Walsh," "Miracle on the Mountain: The Kincaid Family Story," for the Network, "Virus" and "The Preppie Murder." His feature film credits include "Space Cowboys," "Payback," "Marathon Man," "Yanks" and "Family Plots."

Orla Brady's credits include "Family Law," on the Network, "Empire," "Revelations" and "Nip/Tuck."
