ACADEMY AWARD WINNER MARCIA GAY HARDEN STARS IN "IN FROM THE NIGHT," A NEW "HALLMARK HALL OF FAME" PRESENTATION TO BE BROADCAST APRIL 23 ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK

Kate Nelligan, Roxanne Hart, Thomas Gibson, Regina Taylor, Marian Seldes And Taylor Handley Also Star

IN FROM THE NIGHT stars Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden ("Pollock"), Academy Award nominee Kate Nelligan ("The Prince of Tides"), Roxanne Hart ("Follow The Stars Home"), Golden Globe Award nominee Thomas Gibson ("Dharma & Greg"), Golden Globe Award winner Regina Taylor ("I'll Fly Away"), Tony Award winner Marian Seldes ("A Delicate Balance") and Taylor Handley ("The O.C.") in a new "Hallmark Hall of Fame" presentation to be broadcast Sunday, April 23 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The rich family drama is the story of a young, single writer who is surprised by a visit from her troubled 16-year-old nephew who comes to her in search of acceptance, understanding and love.

Vicki Miller's (Harden) well-ordered life is plunged into complete chaos when her nephew, Bobby (Handley), the child of her mentally-challenged brother and sister-in-law, appears on her doorstep, sullen and disheveled. A boy of very few words, it soon becomes apparent that Bobby has run away from home and wants to live with Vicki. Initially, Vicki keeps his presence a secret, even from her probing mother, Vera (Nelligan), who knows he is missing and calls Vicki looking for him.

Following her dream, Vicki goes to a writer's conference and leaves Bobby with her sister Ruth (Hart), who raised the boy until his parents went to court and won custody. Ruth would like Bobby to simply fit into her household, but it doesn't take long for him to track down Vicki at the conference and beg her to come back and take him home.

Though Bobby is deeply disturbed, he trusts Vicki and slowly opens up to her about the pain he has experienced in the past with his parents. Bobby's memories force Vicki to open herself up to her own dark feelings. Then, as time goes by, with the strength that their alliance gives them, they find themselves on the road to healing and happiness.

Thomas Gibson plays Vicki's love interest, Aiden Brynes; Regina Taylor plays Vicki's and Bobby's therapist, Dr. Gardner; and Marian Seldes is seen as a novelist who Vicki meets at the writer's conference.

Marcia Gay Harden starred in the Network series "The Education of Max Bickford." Her other television credits include the mini-series "Guilty Hearts," also on the Network, and the movies "King of Texas," "Small Vices" and "See You in My Dreams," on the Network. Her additional feature film credits include "Mona Lisa Smile," "Mystic River," "Casa de Los Babys," "Space Cowboys," "Meet Joe Black," "The First Wives Club" and "The Spitfire Grill."

Kate Nelligan's television credits include the mini-series "Human Cargo" and "A Wrinkle in Time," and the movies "Walter and Henry," "Blessed Stranger: After Flight 111," "Swing Vote," "Love Is Strange" and "Captive Heart: The James Mink Story." Her feature film credits include "The Cider House Rules," "Up Close and Personal," "How to Make an American Quilt," "Wolf" and "The Prince of Tides."

Roxanne Hart starred in the Network series "Chicago Hope." Her other television credits include the "Hallmark Hall of Fame" presentation "Follow The Stars Home," on the Network, and the movies "The President's Man: A Line in the Sand," "The Runaway," "Come On, Get Happy: The Partridge Family Story" and "Daughters." She has also guest starred in the series "Cold Case," on the Network, and "Law & Order," "ER," and "Party of Five."

Thomas Gibson currently stars in the Network series "Criminal Minds." His additional television credits include the "Hallmark Hall of Fame" presentation "Brush With Fate" and the movie "Raising Waylon," both on the Network, and the movies "Evil Never Dies," "The Lost Empire," "Nightmare Street" and "The Devil's Child." Additional television credits include the mini-series "A Will of Their Own," "Tales of the City" and "More Tales from the City." His feature film credits include "First Time Caller," "Jack the Dog" and "Eyes Wide Shut."

Regina Taylor currently stars in the Network series "The Unit." Her additional television credits include the series "The Education of Max Bickford" and the mini-series "Children of the Dust," both on the Network, the series "Feds," and the movies "Cora Unashamed," "Strange Justice," "The Third Twin" and "Hostile Waters." Her feature film credits include "Spirit Lost," "Courage Under Fire," "The Keeper," "Clockers" and "Losing Isaiah."

Marion Seldes' television credits include the "Hallmark Hall of Fame" presentation "Plainsong," on the Network, and the movies "Clarissa," "Truman," "Good & Evil" and "The War Widow. Her feature film credits include "Mona Lisa Smile," "Town & Country," "Duets," "The Haunting," "Home Alone 3," "Tom and Huck" and "The Gun in Betty Lou's Handbag."

Taylor Handley's television credits include the role of Oliver Trask in the series "The O.C." and appearances in the series "Becker," "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "Touched By An Angel," all on the Network, and the series "Dawson's Creek," "NYPD Blue" and "Frasier." His feature film credits include "Go Fish" and "Jack Frost."

IN FROM THE NIGHT is a Hallmark Hall of Fame Production. Richard Welsh ("The Blackwater Lightship") and Brent Shields ("Brush With Fate") are the executive producers. Peter Levin ("Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story") is directing the drama from a script by Susanna Styron and Bridget Terry ("Back When We Were Grownups").
