AS DR. COX RETURNS TO WORK, J.D. REFLECTS ON THE LAST FIVE YEARS -- After five years working at Sacred Heart, J.D. (Zach Braff) can't help but feel that the same things seem to happen over and over again at the hospital. Meanwhile, following his drunken breakdown in the wake of three accidental deaths, Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) returns to work, but Elliot (Sarah Chalke) believes that Cox has lost his usual steely confidence when he hesitates to order immediate treatment for a patient. When her attempt to help him backfires, Elliott calls Dr. Cox on his behavior. Later, Carla (Judy Reyes) gets fed up with Turk (Donald Faison) flaunting everything he can do that she can't, now that she's pregnant. Neil Flynn and Ken Jenkins also star.
