ON "A DR. PHIL PRIMETIME SPECIAL: ESCAPING ADDICTION II,"
A NEW SPECIAL TO BE BROADCAST MAY 24
ON THE CBS TELEVISION NETWORK
Dr. Phil confronts a couple whose excessive drinking threatens to cause serious harm to themselves and their children, on A DR. PHIL PRIMETIME SPECIAL: ESCAPING ADDICTION II, Wednesday, May 24 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. In this special, Dr. Phil continues to explore the rampant problem of alcohol and drug addiction.
Shellye, a mother of three, began to drink excessively when she found it difficult to cope with the fact that her son was born with a physical disability and needed to be on a ventilator in order to breathe. Her husband, Jake, is also a heavy drinker who, on occasion, has abused Shellye both physically and emotionally. Dr. Phil meets head on with the couple who confess to dangerous behavior while under the influence. Once they are willing to admit to their addictions, Dr. Phil works with the couple to determine a course of treatment for them that could literally save all of their family's lives.
A DR. PHIL PRIMETIME SPECIAL: ESCAPING ADDICTION II was produced by Stage 29 Productions, LLC and CBS Paramount Domestic Television.
