Also: James Perry lived a double life he was a husband and father living in a family neighborhood in Madison, Wisconsin who, for more than five years, committed dozens of sexual attacks against children and young women. When the man known as the mall rapist was finally caught, investigators found 100 hours of video and hundreds of pictures, some of which was distributed on the internet. Through them, investigators gained unique insight into how this serial rapist operated and how hard it was to catch the man hiding in plain sight, as well as how vulnerable our children really are. Perrys wife speaks about living with a serial rapist. I was living with pure evil, a manipulator, a liar, pure evil. Part of me feels he didn't have one care And I didn't know, she tells ABC News correspondent Jim Avila. 20/20 also speaks with some of the girls who were attacked by Perry, as well as a detective on the case, sex crime expert Maureen Wall. This exclusive report originally aired in March 2005.
