SAVED The Lady and the Tiger
Directed by John Coles, Written by David Manson
In TNTs newest, character-driven drama Wyatt Cole (Scott) continues to deal with his feelings for ex-girlfriend Alice (Elizabeth Reaser The Family Stone) as she mulls over the possibility of moving in with her new boyfriend. But he has to put this issue on hold as he makes his way through another grueling shift.
An emergency call sends Wyatt and his paramedic partner, John Sack Hallon (Omari Hardwick Beauty Shop, Sucker Free City), to help a Santeria high priest who is having a seizure. But the priests followers actually believe he is possessed and therefore attempt to stand in the way of help. Eventually, the pair is able to get the priest to a hospital.
Wyatt and Sacks fellow paramedics, Angela De La Cruz (Tracy Vilar The Steve Harvey Show, ER) and novice Harper Sims (Michael McMillian What I Like About You, Firefly) continue to experience growing pains in their working relationship together. Sack doesnt help things when he attempts to play a practical joke on Harper, resulting in unintended consequences for Angela.
Sack continues to try building a relationship with his son, Cam, this time by inviting him along for an ambulance ride, which provides an eye-opening experience for the boy. Later, as Sack tries to help his son with homework, he learns that Cam is having difficulty in school.
Another emergency call sends Wyatt and Sack to one of Wyatts old schoolmates, named Reston, a successful painter. Reston has apparently overdosed on drugs and alcohol, but upon further examination in the emergency room, its discovered that he is suffering from leukemia. The news at first seems to have no effect on Reston, but later, Wyatt and Sack once again must come to his rescue when he threatens to jump off a bridge. It is this incident that forces Wyatt to confront his feelings for Alice and decide whether to continue pursuing her.
