TNT continues to make Monday the most dramatic night of the week as its two top-notch original series THE CLOSER and SAVED continue Monday, June 26. This week, THE CLOSERs lead character, Brenda Leigh Johnson (Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award nominee Kyra Sedgwick) investigates a possible gang-related shooting that hits a little too close to home for one of her peers at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). And on SAVED at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), Wyatt Cole (Tom Everett Scott) and his fellow paramedics deal with a vicious attack at a local gay bar while Coles conflict with his father intensifies.
SAVED Living Dead
Directed by Dean White, Written by Joseph Dougherty
Its a full moon on TNTs newest, character-driven drama, as Wyatt Cole (Scott) and his paramedic partner John Sack Hallon (Omari Hardwick Beauty Shop, Sucker Free City) are called to a bizarre scene in which a man has seemingly dropped from the sky onto a womans car. Shady government-type agents, however, prevent the pair from figuring out exactly what happened.
But this very strange night is just getting started: the paramedics are called to a brutal attack at a local gay bar, though it seems they arent the first to arrive. An imposter EMT named Larry has been showing up at emergency scenes, but disappearing before law enforcement can grab him. Newbie EMT Harper Sims (Michael McMillian What I Like About You, Firefly) is himself nearly arrested after being mistaken for Larry in a sting operation and has to be bailed out by his reluctant partner, Angela de la Cruz (Tracy Vilar The Steve Harvey Show, ER).
Back at the emergency room at Good Samaritan Hospital, Wyatt finds his worlds colliding. A young nurse hes been sleeping with turns out to be working alongside Wyatts ex-girlfriend Dr. Alice Alden (Elizabeth Reaser The Family Stone). To make matters worse, Wyatts overbearing father, Martin (David Clennon thirtysomething, Syriana), who is unaware that Wyatt never re-applied for medical school, has also arrived to help content with an overrun of incoming emergencies.
Sacks relationship with his son goes through a rough patch when he learns that the boy has been acting out at school. He also finds himself somewhat bewildered when a transgender woman named Tippi, a victim of the attack on the gay bar, recognizes Sack from his glory days as a football star, and the two strike up a tentative friendship.
After a night where nothing is exactly what it seems, Wyatt runs into his father in the doctors locker room. He has to decide whether or not to tell his father the truth about medical school.
