TNT�s hit dramas THE CLOSER and SAVED continue to heat up the summer with taut episodes Monday, August 21. On THE CLOSER, Brenda Leigh Johnson, played by 2006 Emmy� nominee Kyra Sedgwick, investigates a case involving the smuggling of illegal immigrants over the border at 9 p.m. (ET/PT). And on SAVED at 10 p.m. (ET/PT), Wyatt Cole (Tom Everett Scott) gets carjacked in his ambulance by a pair of gunmen seeking to score some drugs.

THE CLOSER�s premiere episode on Monday, June 12, scored ad-supported cable�s largest audience delivery ever for an original scripted series telecast, beating its own record set with the premiere episode of season one. Meanwhile, SAVED scored big in its premiere, delivering more than 5.1 million viewers.

Deputy Police Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick) is having a really bad day. After spilling coffee and suffering from a fender bender, she ignores protocol and leaves the scene of her accident so she can get to the scene of a multiple homicide involving the smuggling of illegal immigrants. But her decision to leave her accident scene comes back to haunt her after Assistant Police Chief Will Pope (J.K. Simmons � Law & Order, Spider-Man) decides to take away her keys. It�s going to take some internal wrangling for her to get her driving privileges back.
