"Rio" -- In pursuit of Marisol's killer, Horatio and Delko go to Brazil to avenge her death, on the fifth season premiere of CSI: MIAMI, Monday, Monday, Sept. 18 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Joe Chappelle directed the episode written by Sunil Nayar, one of the series' co-executive producers.

Scenes were shot on location in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Sofia Milos returns as Yelina Salas.

In Rio, Horatio and Delko are close to catching Riaz, Marisol's killer. There, Horatio reunites with Yelina and learns that his brother Raymond is in too deep undercover in a drug ring run by Riaz. To make matters worse, Horatio's nephew, Ray Jr., is working as a drug mule for Riaz, smuggling drugs into the U.S. Now, with the stakes set high, Horatio must catch Riaz before he takes the life of another member of Horatio's family.

Inspired by the top-rated series "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," CSI: MIAMI is a fast-paced drama that follows a South Florida team of forensic investigators who use both cutting-edge scientific methods and old-fashioned police work to solve crimes. Horatio Caine, a former homicide detective, heads a group of investigators who work crimes amid the steamy tropical surroundings and cultural crossroads of Miami. His team includes Calleigh Duquesne, a bilingual Southern beauty with a specialty in ballistics; Eric Delko, an underwater recovery expert who knows all the twists and turns of the Florida waterways and Ryan Wolfe, who after joining the department two years ago, still hasn't found his place within the team. Rounding out the team is Alexx Woods, the no-nonsense know-it-all coroner and Natalia Boa Vista, the enigmatic 'grant girl' and DNA specialist assigned to solving cold cases. Helping Horatio with cases is Det. Frank Tripp, a tough, yet thorough police officer. Together, these investigators collect and analyze the evidence to solve the crimes and to avenge those who cannot speak for themselves, the victims.

CSI: MIAMI is produced by CBS Productions and Alliance Atlantis Communications, in association with Jerry Bruckheimer Productions. Jerry Bruckheimer, Ann Donahue, Carol Mendelsohn, Anthony Zuiker and Jonathan Littman are the Executive Producers.
