JEFFRIES' ROOKIE MURDER CASE IN 1979 IS RE-OPENED WHEN EVIDENCE IS FOUND CLOSE TO WHERE THE BODY OF A WOMAN WAS ORIGINALLY LOCATED, ON "COLD CASE," SUNDAY, NOV. 5
"The Key" -- Detective Jeffries' rookie murder case in 1979 is re-opened when evidence is found close to where the body of the woman was originally located, on COLD CASE, Sunday, Nov. 5 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. David Barrett directed the episode that was written by Jennifer Johnson.
Jeffries made a promise to the victim's daughter, Helen, to find her mother's killer and now, armed with new evidence, he is more determined than ever to close the case and bring the murderer to justice. The evidence includes a jacket belonging to the victim and car keys that could not have been hers because she did not know how to drive. The list of suspects includes the victim's husband, ex-lover and daughter. Now, Jeffries will go back 27 years and retrace his steps, but as a more experienced detective.
