ANNABETH UNCOVERS A CORRUPT GAMBLING OPERATION THAT'S BILKING COLLEGE KIDS OUT OF THEIR MONEY, ON "CLOSE TO HOME," FRIDAY, FEB. 9, 9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT
"Hoosier Hold Em'" -- While investigating the murder of a college student who is found dead a few days after he robbed a bank, Annabeth and the DA's office stumble upon a corrupt gambling operation that's duping college kids out of their money, on CLOSE TO HOME on Friday, Feb. 9 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The episode was directed by Dermott Downs from a script written by Leo Geter.
During the investigation into the defendant's murder, Ray and Ed discover that the boy's death is linked to a gambling ring which a fellow college student ran out of his father's house. The case takes its first turn, however, when a juror overhears a witness saying he was paid to lie on the stand, forcing the judge to declare a mistrial. The case becomes even more complicated when Annabeth discovers that the victim had become friends with the ex-girlfriend of the card cheat. Meanwhile, Conlon's daughter comes to visit Indianapolis in order to check out colleges.
