ANNABETH PROSECUTES A WOMAN FOR KILLING THE SURROGATE MOTHER OF HER BABY, ON "CLOSE TO HOME," FRIDAY, FEB. 16, 9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT

"Barren" -- Annabeth prosecutes a woman for killing the surrogate mother of her baby, on CLOSE TO HOME, Friday, Feb. 16 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Steve Boyum directed the episode from a script by Teresa Huggins and Jami O'Brien.

When a surrogate mother is found stabbed to death in her home, the biological mother of the baby is arrested and charged with murder. At first it seems the defendant's chances of winning the case are good after she claims she was defending herself from the victim whom she portrays as a manipulative, money-hungry surrogate who was extorting money in exchange for not seeking custody of the baby. However, the case takes an unexpected turn when evidence is uncovered which creates a possible motive for the murder.
