THE GREAT AMERICAN DREAM VOTE PREMIERES
WEDNESDAY MARCH 28, ON THE ABC TELEVISION NETWORK
Hosted by pop icon Donny Osmond, The Great American Dream Vote is a fast-paced and exciting series in which no dream is too big, too small, too crazy or too outrageous to be granted to one lucky contestant. The series premieres in its regular time period WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
Each episode will introduce a group of contestants from all across America who will reveal a lifelong dream to a studio audience and explain why that dream deserves to be fulfilled. The contestants will square off when the studio audience casts votes, eliminating several rounds of players. At the end of each show, two finalists will remain. Viewers at home will then vote on which of the two most deserves to have his or her dream realized. The winner will be disclosed the following week.
In Episode 102, six contestants will be brought out to present their dreams, including a nerdy kindergarten assistant who wants a male makeover; a student who wants to save the family bowling alley -- which has been in the family for three generations -- and the owner of an ice cream truck business who wants to keep the business from going under.
The shows host, pop icon Donny Osmond, has had a multi-faceted 43-year career, evolving from pre-teen recording idol with The Osmonds into such varied roles as talk show, variety show and game show host, the toast of Broadway in Beauty and the Beast, bestselling author, and solo recording star with 33 gold and platinum records to his credit.
Mike Fleiss is executive producer of The Great American Dream Vote, with Lisa Levenson. Fleiss is the founder of Next Entertainment, and both he and Levenson are also executive producers on the highly successful The Bachelor series on ABC. David Bohnert is co-executive producer. The series is a production of Next Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television.
The Great American Dream Vote is broadcast with Spanish subtitles via secondary closed captioning. A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.
