A Controversial Uterine Transplant Brings Conflict to Dr. Grant's Team While an Infant's Only Hope for Survival Turns Into a Complex Legal Entanglement

Dr. Jonas is ready to perform the country's first uterine transplant on an infertile woman. He must get Dr. grant's approval to pursue this medical breakthrough for women, and this career breakthrough for himself. But Dr. Grant is preoccupied with saving a six moth old baby dying of a rare heart defect. He is reluctant to support what he sees as a risky and unnecessary new procedure. Meanwhile, a shaken baby arrives in the ER who could save Dr. Grant's infant patient, if only Kate can get through to his grieving mother in time to secure her consent.
