The 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games promises to be not only a spectacular sports event, but also an unimaginable humanitarian experience for athletes and spectators to join together in an atmosphere of inclusion and respect for all. The Opening Ceremony of these games will become the biggest event ever broadcast from China. The broadcast of the Opening Ceremony, produced by internationally acclaimed Don Mischer Productions, will be a spectacular event in pageantry and entertainment, sure to capture the hearts and minds of people around the world. The heart and soul of the ceremonies will come from the over 7,500 athletes from 164 nations participating in the Games, the artistic and performing communities in China and the ideals of the Special Olympics movement.
