SUPREME COURT JUSTICE CLARENCE THOMAS WILL APPEAR ON "60 MINUTES" IN HIS FIRST TELEVISION INTERVIEW -- SUNDAY ON CBS

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas will be interviewed by Steve Kroft for his first television interview. It will be broadcast on 60 MINUTES, Sunday, Sept. 30 (7:00-8:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Justice Thomas answers Kroft's questions on a wide range of topics pertaining to his personal and professional life, addressing many issues and controversies. The interview provides a glimpse into the personality of a man who is on track to become the longest-serving Supreme Court justice in U.S. history.

The 60 MINUTES profile includes footage and interviews taped in Savannah, Ga., and Pinpoint, Ga., where Thomas grew up, and in his chambers in the Supreme Court Building in Washington, D.C.

Thomas has written a memoir, My Grandfather's Son, published by HarperCollins and due in bookstores next week.
