IT'S ALL ABOUT APPEARANCES IN EPISODE 2 OF "THE REAL HOUSEWIVES" TUES, NOV. 13
IT'S ALL ABOUT APPEARANCES ON NEXT WEEK'S EPISODE OF "THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF ORANGE COUNTY", TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13 AT 10 PM ET/PT
BURBANK, Calif November 7, 2007 - The ladies are feeling the effects of getting older in youth-obsessed Southern California on next week's episode of Bravo's "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Tuesday, November 13 at 10 PM ET/PT.
"One of my biggest goals right now is to look as hot as I can," says newest housewife Tamra Barney. "I'm turning 40 in just a month and I want to look the best I've ever looked." Tamra's upcoming birthday finds her heading to the tanning salon despite knowing its dangers. However she decides she is willing to risk it to keep up her looks.
Meanwhile, Jeana Keough and Vicki Gunvalson are going to extremes to fit exercise into their busy schedules, attending a boot camp session at 5:30 in the morning, where they push themselves to the limit to get their bodies in shape.
Vicki is also struggling with her decision to "downsize" from her current 5000 sq. foot home to a 4000 sq. foot home. She meets with her pool contractor to discuss the cost of renovating the backyard to match the large, elaborate pool area she currently has. However she butts heads with her husband, Donn, who doesn't think many of her ideas (like an underwater volcano for the pool) are necessary. "It's important for me to have the best, the newest, the greatest of whatever. Whether it's clothes, shoes, jewelry -- and I haven't really figured out why," says Vicki.
Since the death of their father, Lou, Tammy Knickerbocker's daughters Megan and Lindsey are facing the reality of having to take care of themselves. "Lou didn't have a will, he didn't have any insurance. He didn't do anything for them," Tammy says. But they do have one thing to look forward to as they attend a party at the Playboy Mansion with Lauri's daughter, Ashley, and George's daughter, McKenzie.
Ashley finds out Lauri is about to put the townhouse, where she currently lives, on the market. As Lauri walks through the townhouse with the realtor, it brings up memories of her troubled son Josh with whom she has had a rocky relationship with over the past few years. She equates Josh's behavior with "a huge stab in my heart."
Jeana is also dealing with a rebelling son as she hesitates to leave her fifteen-year-old, Colton, at home alone while she takes her daughter, Kara, up to college at UC Berkeley. His latest antics include stealing and driving around their golf cart and having parties that result in beer cans being left all over the yard. So Colton is surprised to wake up the morning to find that Jeana and Kara have left for Northern California without telling him.
