"LAPD Blue" - The mayor counts on Sebastian to get a conviction against a blue blood drug-dealing killer of an undercover narcotics detective and, in the process, hopes Sebastian will redeem himself with the L.A.P.D, on a rebroadcast of SHARK, Sunday, Dec. 30 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Rod Holcomb, one of the series' executive producers, directed the episode that was written by series creator and one of the series' executive producers, Ian Biederman. (Originally broadcast 9/28/06)

High-profile attorney Robert Shapiro, who is a legal consultant on the series, and renowned chef Wolfgang Puck make cameo appearances as themselves, playing Sebastian's poker buddies. Three-time Tony Award nominee ?eljko Ivanek ("The Caine Mutiny Court-Martial," "Brighton Beach Memoirs," "Two Shakespearean Actors," "Oz," "24") and Henry Simmons ("NYPD Blue," "Madea's Family Reunion") guest star.

The murdered cop's partner (Henry Simmons) and most of the L.A.P.D. are hesitant to trust and help Sebastian who, as a defense attorney, often used questionable means to win acquittals for his often guilty clients. Between the friction with the L.A.P.D, the spotty eyewitness account of the victim's partner, the limited evidence, and defendant Scott Ransom's alibi and first rate lawyer (?eljko Ivanek), who was once Sebastian's protg, the case is anything but a slam dunk for Sebastian's team. Taking a cue from Sebastian's "cutthroat manifesto," Madeleine convinces Casey that to quickly secure an important search warrant, they'll need to lie about something on the petition that can be explained as an oversight if later detected. Meanwhile, Sebastian finds this challenging case easier than figuring out how to form a deeper relationship with his daughter, who is now living with him full-time.
