THE NFL ON CBS begins its coverage of the 2008 American Football Conference Playoffs with the national broadcast of Wild Card Playoff Game #2 on Sunday, Jan. 6 (4:30 PM, ET) live on the CBS Television Network. AFC West champions and No. 3-seeded SAN DIEGO CHARGERS (11-5) host the No. 6-seeded TENNESSEE TITANS (10-6).

CBS Sports' lead announce team of Jim Nantz and Phil Simms call the action live from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, Calif. Lance Barrow is the coordinating producer of THE NFL ON CBS and lead game producer and Mike Arnold is the lead game director.

CBS Sports' coverage of THE NFL ON CBS begins with THE NFL TODAY, the Network's pre-game studio show (4:00-4:30 PM, ET), with host James Brown and analysts Dan Marino, Boomer Esiason, Shannon Sharpe and Bill Cowher, along with NFL TODAY "General Manager" Charley Casserly, as well as reporters Lesley Visser and Sam Ryan, live from THE NFL TODAY studio at the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City.

(On residual from last time Tennessee played San Diego in Week 14): All the negative feelings that came out of that game, emotionally, will absolutely be part of the start of this game. However, there are so many things that have changed since that game. But the agenda is the same for both teams. Even though it's in San Diego, I always say this when teams play each other for the second time, they both have information on each other and it now means the same for both teams. That is always a critical factor. You can watch film and study somebody all you want, but until you physically face them on the field is when you get a lot of those questions answered...(On Tennessee-San Diego II): Everybody knows these things, it's Norv Turner taking over for Marty Schottenheimer. They're not the No. 1 seed this year. So that is different. Everybody has been waiting all season long to see how the Chargers are going to do in the playoffs. This game does not lack storylines...(On quarterback storyline of Vince Young and Philip Rivers having something to prove): What quarterback in the NFL doesn't have something to prove? It's always, Peyton Manning can you do it again or were you just fortunate in one year? Tom Brady is a different story. With all quarterbacks it's always the same story - they have to prove they can do it in the "big game," or the so-called "big game" that everybody talks about. Yes, there are question marks about both quarterbacks, but again, there are question marks about every quarterback from the media and the fans. That's just part of the game...(Keys to Game): What intrigues me about the game, as well as all the playoffs, is somewhere during the course of the year I said to myself, the NFL is changing. Everybody is spreading it out and maybe we're going to see a new league. And then we come to the playoffs and I look at all the teams like Tennessee, San Diego, Jacksonville, New England, Pittsburgh, Dallas, Green Bay - and they all have one thing in common - they're really big teams. And as much as we talk about the throwers, the catchers and runners, it still always comes down to the big guys. Whose big guys allow the other guys the opportunities to make big plays? You cannot hide a bad offensive line. It ruins everything. It ruins your team. You cannot hide a defensive line that can't stop the run because it changes the dynamics of all the other players on the team. I have to stop falling into that trap myself. As much as we talk about football, we focus so much on the quarterbacks and the skill guys that we lose sight of what is still winning championships and winning games.
