TRACEE ELLIS ROSS DIRECTS AND GRAMMY NOMINATED R&B STAR CHRISETTE MICHELE GUEST STARS� Lynn (Persia White) gets upset when she learns that her record label is pushing back the release of her album to promote another artist, Chrisette Michele (guest starring as herself). When Lynn confronts the record label, they tell her they are concerned about how to market her because they feel she is not "black" enough. Meanwhile, at a doctor's appointment Monica (Keesha Sharp) decides she does not want to know the sex of the baby. However, William (Reggie Hayes) finds out the sex of the baby and accidentally text messages it to Monica, then enlists Joan (Tracee Ellis Ross) to help steal Monica's phone. Golden Brooks and Khalil Kain also star. Tracee Ellis Ross directed the episode written by Michele Marburger and Kevin Marburger (#40338-172).
