Nick Persons (Ice Cube), a bachelor looking to change his ways, may have finally found the one. Suzanne Kingston (Nia Long) is a stunning and successful executive, but she's also a single mother, and her two children have never taken kindly to their mother's boyfriends. When Suzanne's job threatens to spoil her holiday with the kids, Nick offers to drive them from Portland to Vancouver to spend New Year's Eve with their mother. But the kids have other plans for their trip with Nick and he'll need to prepare for one mishap after another if he hopes to get to Vancouver in one piece. Will this gesture be just the ticket to win over Suzanne or will it be the biggest mistake of Nick's life?
