After Michelle Cullman (Guest Star: Susan Ward) lures Jack Leverett (Guest Star: Greg Grunberg) to her apartment for an illicit tryst, Jack becomes furious when he discovers a hidden video camera. They struggle over the camera, the fight escalates and Michelle winds up dead. When Monk (Tony Shaloub) arrives at the crime scene, there's a new face on the scene: big time movie Hollywood actor David Ruskin (Guest Star: Stanley Tucci). Ruskin is preparing to play Monk in an upcoming movie, and wants to follow Monk around as research for his new role. But does Ruskin get a little too close to this real-life murder investigation? Stanley Tucci, Greg Grunberg and Susan Ward guest star. Traylor Howard, Ted Levine, Jason Gray-Stanford, Emmy Clarke and Stanley Kamel also star.
