"THE DREW CAREY SHOW" (6:00-6:30 p.m. ET)
"That Thing You Don't" (CONTENT RATING TBD)
DREW AND HIS FRIENDS COMPETE IN BATTLE-OF-BANDS When Drew (Drew Carey) and his pals hear about an upcoming battle-of-the bands contest, they re-form their musical group from high school, with Drew playing trumpet, Oswald (Diedrich Bader) playing trombone and Lewis (Ryan Stiles) playing drums. Oswald insists that Kate (Christa Miller) be allowed to sing with them, but unfortunately she is terrible. When the guys find out that their well-rehearsed high school rivals, The Underprivileged (members of the rock band The Reverend Horton Heat: Jim Heath, Jim (Jimbo) Wallace and Scott Churilla), will be competing, they tell Kate to quit, angering her. To support her, Oswald also leaves the group. But moments before Drew and Lewis embarrass themselves on stage, Oswald returns to perform with them, and Drew invites Kate to play tambourine. Gerry Cohen directed the episode written by Bruce Rasmussen (#466256).
