SOPHIE'S MOTHER TRIES TO TAKE CONTROL.IN AN ALL-NEW EPISODE OF "SOPHIE," MONDAY, APRIL 13 AT 9:30 PM ET/PT ON ABC FAMILY

Burbank, CA (March 23, 2009) � Sophie battles her overbearing mother for control of her life, in "Birth Control," an all-new episode of "Sophie" premiering on ABC Family on Monday, April 13 (9:30 � 10:00 PM ET/PT).

Just as things seem to be going well for Sophie, her mother, Judith, comes in to wreak havoc in her life. First, she goes to Rick and tries to persuade him to still be a father figure to the baby. Second, she enlists the baby in the city's top baby academy, but with strings attached. And third, Judith is determined to ruin the baby's naming ceremony. Claiming to know what is best for Sophie, will Judith put Sophie's life back into a tail spin?

Meanwhile, Sophie finds the perfect Nanny in the most unlikely of places.
