OSWALD, DREW AND LEWIS GO ON VACATION � Oswald (Diedrich Bader) hates Drew (Drew Carey) for buying Kate (Christa Miller) a fancy wedding dress but, after each admits that he was partially to blame for disrupting Kate's bridal party, they reconcile. Kate begs Drew to help her tell Oswald that she doesn't want to marry him, but neither gets the chance. First, Oswald's tough and sexy divorced mother, Kim (guest star Adrienne Barbeau), arrives, intimidating Kate. Then, Oswald surprises Kate by suddenly gathering a priest and all of their friends for an immediate wedding. Lewis (Ryan Stiles), Oswald's best man, also recognizes that Oswald's marrying Kate is wrong and makes a plan with Drew. After Kate regretfully says her wedding vows, Lewis and Drew refuse to give Oswald the wedding ring, playing a game of "keep away." After Kate finally tells Oswald how she feels, he realizes that his friends are protecting him from a bad situation. He cancels the wedding. Oswald, Drew and Lewis all go on the already-planned honeymoon vacation, while Kim commiserates with Kate. In a fantasy sequence, animated character Daffy Duck causes chaos when Drew refuses to hire him. Diane Burroughs & Joey Gutierrez wrote the episode directed by Sam Simon (#466276).
