ADVENTURE AND COMPETITION PREVAIL AS SEVEN FAMILIES BEGIN THEIR JOURNEY ACROSS AMERICA ON ROUTE 66, BEGINNING AT CHICAGO'S LEGENDARY WRIGLEY FIELD, IN PREMIERE OF NEW NBC REALITY SERIES 'GREAT AMERICAN ROAD TRIP' � Adventure prevails when seven unique and eccentric families travel along Route 66 in RVs, through cities large and small, while competing in a medley of comical, clever challenges that will ultimately lead one family to victory in the debut of NBC's new reality series "Great American Road Trip." The series begins at Wrigley field and iconic American backdrops � from the Grand Canyon to the Hoover Dam � follow. Family fun is the centerpiece, but competition is the name of the game. One family will be eliminated each week based on their performance and, in the end, the family that rises to the challenges will return home with $100,000. Comedian Reno Collier hosts this eight episode summer series.
