Burbank, CA (August 31, 2009) � In "We Aren't the Champions," Ruby joins a soccer team, and when David decides he's not the perfect fit as far as coaching the team is concerned, Uncle Patrick steps in to take the coaching reigns. Unfortunately, Patrick's excitement over finally having a kid in his house interested in sports turns sour when the team loses its first game. Meanwhile, David teaches Jordan that, as far as a music career is concerned, one must overcome regret and humiliation to find true passion. Having fun and not worrying about winning every game is Ruby's mantra, in "We Aren't the Champions," airing Tuesday, September 8that 8:30PM ET/PT-9:00PM ET/PT on ABC Family.
"Ruby & The Rockits" is an ABC Studios half-hour multi-cam comedy executive-produced by Shaun Cassidy and Marsh McCall. "We Aren't the Champions" was written by Lesley Wake Webster and directed by Leonard R. Garner, Jr. Alexa Vega ("Spy Kids"), Patrick Cassidy ("Smallville"), Katie Amanda Keane ("Eli Stone"), Austin Butler ("Zoey 101"), Kurt Doss ("Role Models"), and David Cassidy ("The Partridge Family") star.
Alexa Vega sings the series' opening title song, "You Are Where I Live," which was written by Shaun Cassidy.
