Popular "What Would You Do?" Becomes Monthly Feature on "20/20"

"One day at a time" has taken on a new meaning for Valerie Bertinelli. Everyone got a fresh look at her recently when the former sitcom star shed weight and posed in a bikini. Now, as she struggles to keep off the weight, Bertinelli speaks candidly to ABC News Contributing Correspondent Chris Connelly about her new perspective on her body, motherhood and raising a teen rock star, her broken marriage to rocker Eddie Van Halen, and former co-star Mackenzie Phillips. "20/20" airs FRIDAY, OCTOBER 9 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

And: It was the perfect high school romance that turned into jealousy and rage. Elizabeth Vargas reports on the story of a popular, pretty teenage girl who became the victim of a hideous crime that would shatter her face but not her beauty. "20/20" is there as she tries to rebuild her life and her looks, and comes face-to-face with the young man responsible.

Plus: "20/20" adds the popular, award-winning hidden camera report "What Would You Do?" as a monthly feature to the broadcast. The series shows what people actually do in the face of everyday dilemmas that test their character and values. In the first "20/20" "What Would You Do?" installment, John Quiones reports on the hot topic of prescription drugs. How will unsuspecting customers react to seeing an older women being turned away at a drug store because she can't afford the prescription? And what happens when it's a younger woman who can't pay for her drugs? Will anyone come to her aid?
