A DAUGHTER'S MIRACULOUS STORY OF SURVIVAL AFTER HER OWN FATHER
MURDERS THEIR FAMILY, AIRING ON "20/20," FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16
One man's murderous rampage 20 years ago destroyed his own family and devastated a Northern California wine country community. Now, for the first time, the only survivor - the man's own daughter - tells her story. ABC News Correspondent Jay Schadler's exclusive report airs on "20/20" on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Carmina Salcido was just three when her father, Ramon, a hard working, hard drinking vineyard employee, went on a killing spree, taking the lives of seven people, including her mother, two sisters, grandmother, two young aunts plus a vineyard supervisor. According to the doctors who saved Carmina's life, her survival was nothing short of a miracle. "20/20" brings Carmina together with Mike Brown, now retired, who was the supervising detective on the case, as well as a crime reporter who covered the murders, to retrace what happened that fateful day. Carmina also reveals the dark turn her new life took after she lost her mom, and what happened when she met her father in prison for the first time since the murders.
"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas. David Sloan is executive producer.
