HIGH STAKES AND HIGH DRAMA ON THE HIGHEST GAME SHOW IN THE WORLD,
WHEN "DOWNFALL" PREMIERES JUNE 22 ON ABC
Chris Jericho is Host
"Episode 101" -- "Downfall," a unique, high-stakes and adrenaline-pumping game show, will put contestants on top of a 10-story building to see who has the focus and fearlessness to avoid his/her own downfall' -- literally. Along the way, they'll have the chance to win $1 million and a slew of incredible prizes. The series premiere of "Downfall" airs TUESDAY, JUNE 22 (9:01-10:01 p.m., ET) on ABC. Actor, TV personality, radio host, rock star and WWE superstar wrestler Chris Jericho is host.
"Episode 101" will feature Nicole Breed (Ferndale, WA) and Martin Mullen (Boston, MA).
"Downfall" is played on the roof of a downtown Los Angeles high-rise, where contestants try to quickly answer a series of questions against the clock. Facsimiles of prizes are placed on a conveyor belt, with a pile of cash at the end ranging from $5,000 to $1 million. Players must answer the questions before their prizes go over the edge and off the roof. If the cash goes over, the game is finished and that player is eliminated. There are two ways to back up the belt: "Surrender a Personal Possession" (offering a personal possession for the conveyor belt and risking its going over the edge) or "Friend on the Belt" (putting friends or family members on the belt who can help them find the answers, but who also risk going over the edge).
"Downfall" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 channel surround sound. This program carries a TV-PG parental guideline.
"Downfall" is produced by FremantleMedia North America. Ken Warwick and Scott St. John are executive producers.
