CHRIS MOLLES FROM LOMITA, CA, AND YOLANDA ALLEN FROM LOS ANGELES, CA,
RACE AGAINST THE CONVEYOR BELT ON THIS WEEK'S EDITION OF "DOWNFALL"
Chris Jericho is the Host
"Episode 103" -- On this week's edition of "Downfall," Chris Molles (Lomita, CA) and Yolanda Allen (Los Angeles, CA) get their chance to play the game. The high-stakes, adrenaline-pumping show -- which puts contestants atop a 10-story building to see who has the focus and fearlessness to avoid his/her own downfall' and the chance to win $1 million and other prizes -- airs TUESDAY, JULY 6 (9:01-10:01 p.m., ET) on ABC. Chris Jericho is host.
"Downfall" is played on the roof of a downtown Los Angeles high-rise, where contestants try to quickly answer a series of questions against the clock. Facsimiles of prizes are placed on a conveyor belt, with a pile of cash at the end ranging from $5,000 to $1 million. Players must answer the questions before their prizes go over the edge and off the roof. If the cash goes over, the game is finished and that player is eliminated. There are two ways to back up the belt: "Surrender a Personal Possession" (offering a personal possession for the conveyor belt and risking its going over the edge) or "Friend on the Belt" (putting friends or family members on the belt who can help them find the answers, but who also risk going over the edge).
"Downfall" is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1 channel surround sound. A TV parental guideline will be assigned closer to airdate.
"Downfall" is produced by FremantleMedia North America. Ken Warwick and Scott St. John are executive producers.
